CONTEXT & CHALLENGE
TEDxMarvila is an independently organized TED-like event & non-profit organization depending on volunteers, sponsors and ticket sales. The first edition “The Art of Being Human” was planned for March 1st, 2025. I joined the core team in September 2024 as Go-to-market strategy director. 
 ​​​​​​​>>> How to ensure the Marketing deliverables with only two Marketing volunteers, no prior event management experience and limited budget? 
APPROACH
After building the go-to-market strategy, together with the other Marketing volunteer, we applied the “divide to conquer” approach to manage the workload. I personally focused on: 
• the online content strategy & the post scheduling. I also oversaw Linked In.
• the Marketing deliverables to meet sponsors’ expectations. 
• the event scheduling & the presentation to be projected
• the post-event follow-up actions. 

RESULTS
• Instagram and Linked In page reached around 1000 followers despite not having any paid ads. 
• Close to 800 guests for the first edition
• 17 speakers including the Mayor of Lisbon.
• TEDxMarvila licence renewed for 2026.
